Tears for Tarina envisions communities across Central, PA unified in achieving freedom from Domestic Violence. We are a state-certified Domestic Violence center saving lives 24/7 and preventing domestic violence throughout Harrisburg and Dauphin County. Tears for Tarina is the local area expert in providing domestic violence services and offers a safe haven to victims and their children as they seek refuge from physical and emotional relationship abuse.
Tears for Tarina is much more than just a crisis hotline and an emergency shelter. The organization was born out of the pain and loss of its Namesake, Tarina Fields, who lost her precious life as a result of long-term relationship abuse that culminated in her senseless murder. We help victims become survivors by providing an extensive array of programs and services, including financial literacy training, counseling, advocacy, outreach, and education.
