2011 was one of Central Pennsylvania’s worst years for Domestic Violence

Angel Fox isn’t sure when, if ever, she’ll be ready to step onto the softball field or basketball court again. Right now, it’s too painful after the sudden death of her best friend, mentor, and teammate, Tarina Fields-Price, last month in Harrisburg.

Fox, a mother of two, is committed to a new cause: helping to educate and raise awareness of the perils of domestic violence.

Her timing couldn’t be better. Last year was one of the worst years for domestic violence in the Midstate, particularly in Cumberland County. Police attributed five homicides to domestic violence, three of which were murder-suicides.
